Just north of Knidos, at the final curve of the peninsula, there is a small cove. Map applications show it, but do not say how to reach it. Because the only way in is by sea.

Limanönü — the name says it all — is one of our fleet's favourite anchorages. The cove is sheltered, deep blue, and on the shore stands a single structure: a small fisherman's restaurant with no road access.

Since 1974

The family running the restaurant has been making the same fish soup since 1974. The recipe has not changed. Tomatoes, olive oil, seasonal fish, a few vegetables. Simple but perfect. Our captains, every time they call here, always order that soup.

You go ashore from the boat via the gangplank. Five minutes on foot brings you to the restaurant. There is no menu — whatever is available today is what is brought.

The best restaurants are the ones with no menu.
